UPDATED!!!! Mass for Lent III: Sat, March 22

UPDATE: I can't believe I'm writing this: after our music has been reshuffled, Kevin Allen's "Panis Angelicus" is out & "Come to the Water" is in.

Recording of the Simple English Propers can be found HERE

The Ordinary will be the so-called "Chant Mass" as found in the hymnal.  Here it is in Gregorian notation, HOWEVER, we will have to sing from the hymnal, b/c that's what's in the pews:

KYRIE - MASS XVI

 SANCTUS - MASS XVIII

AGNUS DEI - MASS XVIII

Recordings are at the CC Watershed site HERE (but you'll have to fish them out one-by-one from Masses 16 & 18).  These are actually a combination of the Ordinaries for weekdays of Lent & the Mass of the Dead.  If you want to see/hear the lovely chants that we're supposed to be singing on Sunday's of Lent, check out Mass XVII (or drop by Latin Mass!)

We will sing an old Presbyterian hymn (of all things) at Offertory: Throned Upon The Aweful Tree (also known as Gethsemane).  Learn it, Love it. Sing it.

Next Mass - Sat, Feb 22

Here is the music for our next Mass on Saturday, 22-Feb - 7th Sunday in Ordinary time:

Here is a dreadful little recording I made on the piano that I hope will help you with the Psalm:

Links to the Simple English Propers: INTROIT & COMMUNION.  However, we will not sing the Psalm verses as in these recordings.

HERE is a YouTube recording of Non Nobis Domine.  Note: we will likely all come in on the first round; this choir has 1 voice join each round.

HERE is the Marian hymn Ave Regina Caelorum

Regina Caeli for Three Voices

Hi Folks, here's a quick taste of Ericka's Regina Caeli for Three Voices.  I hope you like it, because we're going to be singing it soon.

P.S.: I received my package from the sheet music place today - Yay!  Unfortunately, they sent me the wrong stuff - Booh!  I'll make copies for us to work from until the books arrive. [UPDATE: I received another box that had all the right stuff in it!  Double-Yay!]

Thank you very much!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

Hearing the result of all our hard work was the best Christmas present I could have ever gotten.  We've been asked if we plan to do it again next year.  God willing, yes!  Every New Year's Eve, I say!

See you at Brixx at Turkey Creek, Wednesday, January 8 at 6pm.  Cheers!
